A Journey of Craftsmanship

Clase Azul Reposado has become a Mexican Masterpiece, using a hand-painted ceramic decanter to showcase the countries heritage and craftsmanship.

Crafted from 100% organic Blue Weber Agave grown in the mineral-rich red soil of Los Altos, Jalisco and aged for a minimum of eight months in oak barrels. Every sip of Clase Azul Reposado tequila shares a compelling narrative of commitment.

The magic of Clase Azul is not limited to just the high quality of the 40% ABV tequila inside each bottle but also includes what is on display outside, a beautiful, blue and white  700ml sized ceramic decanter.

Tasting Notes

Nose

Clase Azul’s Reposado gives a feel of a warm, inviting aroma. Notes of caramel, honey, and vanilla blend smoothly with hints of spice and roasted agave. The aroma of Clase Azul Reposado is both luxurious and well-balanced, providing a glimpse into the intricate flavours that await.

Palate

On the palate, smooth and luxurious flavours of honey, butterscotch, and ripe fruit, complemented by a subtle touch of cinnamon and nutmeg. The whisper of oak aging adds a delicate smokiness.

Finish

The finish is long and satisfying, leaving behind a sweet, spicy aftertaste that lingers pleasantly.

Pairing Suggestions

Enjoy Case Azul Reposado tequila with smoked provolone cheese, slices of tangerine, or a piece of  milk chocolate.

For a refreshing twist, sip it over ice or mix it into a cocktail.

Process and Prestige

Clase Azul Reposado is made from 100% Blue Weber Agave cultivated in the highlands of Jalisco, Mexico. This region is known for its red-colored earth and the agave plants are grown for 7-10 years before being picked.

Harvested through a process called jima, where the agave leaves are removed to expose the core of the plant (the piña). These piñas are slow-cooked in masonry ovens, which helps soften the agave and release the sugars necessary for fermentation.

The tequila is then fermented using a patented yeast strain that gives Clase Azul its distinctive flavour profile.

After fermentation, double distillation is enhanced using copper stills to further refine the flavour and texture.

Bottling and Packaging

The iconic white and blue ceramic decanter is a work of art. Each individually handcrafted by artisans from the Mazahua community, using age-old techniques passed down through many generations.

The cobalt blue feathered design and bell-shaped metal top are inspired by Mexican culture. The bottle also features space for engraving, adding a personal touch to this already extraordinary tequila.

Each comes in a protective display box, drawing attention with its tall structure. The matte white and blue colours of the box enhance the glossy 700ml bottle sitting inside, ensuring that it cannot be overlooked.

Store Clase Azul Reposado in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight. The gloss white and blue coloured ceramic decanter helps protect the tequila from temperature fluctuations by reflecting sunlight away from the contents.

Awards and Recognition

Founded in 1997, the Clase Azul distilleries reposado tequila is highly acclaimed and widely respected in the tequila industry.

Receiving top honors at major events such as the San Francisco World Spirits Competition (2006) and the Chicago Beverage Testing Institute (2004). These accolades include multiple gold medals, solidifying Clase Azul Reposado tequila as one of the finest in the world.

Varieties

The Clase Azul range includes several different expressions, such as Clase Azul Plata, Clase Azul Durango, and Clase Azul Añejo.

Each variation offers a unique flavour profile, but the Reposado remains a standout for its balance and complexity.

Cocktail Recipe

Clase Azul Reposado is best left untouched and enjoyed for its purity, but for those who dare, you can Class things up a bit, with a Tequini, which is tequila’s take on a classic martini cocktail.

Make one by simply combining the following ingredients:

  • 75ml Clase Azul Reposado tequila
  • 15ml dry vermouth
  • 1 dash aromatic bitters
  • Olive, or lemon twist, for garnish
