A treasure from the tropics. This Mezcal is made from a rare agave plant in remotest Mexico. Both sweet and savoury, it is for those looking to be wowed by something new. It comes in a jade-coloured decanter with ancient Mexican symbols on it.

What makes the Clase Azul Mezcal Guerrero special?

Clase Azul cannot resist a challenge. Journeying to the wild tropical state of Guerrero they harvested one Mexico’s rarest agaves. Each Papalote plant was selected from where it was found in rain-soaked forests. The quest inspired the mystical markings on the jade-coloured decanter. And the spirit inside? We think it will surprise and delight you.

Clase Azul Mezcal Guerrero Appearance

A jade-coloured handmade decanter decorated with ancient Mexican symbols…what is this story here? Jade was the precious stone used by the ancient Mayan people to carve figurines of deities. The flower symbols signify an ancient god called the Fifth Sun, the creator of all life. The hummingbirds on the hand painted wooden cap had a mystical role in ancient Mexico. The small birds were seen as the messengers of the gods and their image was worn as talismans by the Aztecs. The hummingbirds are also major pollinators of the flowers of Guerrero.

Where does Clase Azul Mezcal Guerrero come from?

This Mezcal is the product of Geurrero, a tropical state, full of mountains, forests, and jaguars. Clouds coming in from the Pacific coast quickly turn into rain on the Sierra Madre mountains that run through the state. In this lush, wild setting grows one of the rarest agave plants, the Papalote, giving this mezcal its unique flavour.

How to enjoy Clase Azul Mezcal Guerrero

This aromatic mezcal has enough personality to be sipped on its own with friends. If it were to be combined with a meal, then Clase Azul recommend the following. A meal that includes fish such as tuna, salmon, octopus and lobster cooked with butter and lemon.
