Mundo de Oro Blanco Tequila

Mundo de Oro is a proudly Mexican-owned tequila brand rooted in Amatitán, Jalisco — a region widely regarded as the birthplace of tequila. This 750ml, 35% ABV Blanco tequila is distilled at Tequila Selecto de Amatitán, a distillery known for preserving traditional production methods rather than adopting large-scale industrial shortcuts.

Crafted from 100% Blue Weber agave, Mundo de Oro Blanco reflects the rich soils of Jalisco, where mature agaves develop high natural sugar content. The result is a rounder mouthfeel and a vibrant, expressive cooked-agave character.

Craftsmanship

Only fully mature agaves, harvested after 6–8 years, are used to ensure depth and complexity. The piñas are slow-cooked in traditional stone and brick ovens — a method that gently caramelises natural sugars and preserves the integrity of the agave.
Unlike industrial autoclaves designed for speed, this traditional cooking process enhances softness and flavour nuance.

The tequila is then double-distilled in copper stills, which refine the spirit while removing unwanted sulphur compounds. The result is a clean, smooth Blanco with exceptional aromatic clarity.

Tasting Notes

Nose

Fresh cooked agave leads, supported by light herbal tones and subtle vanilla. The slow oven cooking produces a natural sweetness without sharp alcohol notes.

Palate

Smooth and balanced, with natural agave sweetness at the forefront, followed by fresh herbs and a gentle hint of vanilla. The copper distillation ensures a refined, clean flavour profile.

Finish

Medium-length and dry, with lingering herbal agave notes and a soft, smooth close. Free from artificial sweetness, allowing the true character of the agave to shine.

Appearance

Crystal clear with bright clarity — a hallmark of an unaged, additive-free Blanco tequila.
