Casa Dragones Reposado is the first tequila rested exclusively in mizunara, a rare oak native to Japan and traditionally used for aging Japanese whiskies.

This delicately rested tequila perfectly balances the minerality of the agave with the light notes of Japanese oak, for a refined, elegant sweetness that defies the ordinary.

What makes Casa Dragones Reposado special?

Continuing their exploration of woods and agave, Casa Dragones imported their first Mizunara casks to Tequila, Jalisco in 2018 and have worked since then to craft a beautifully refined, uniquely smooth-tasting Reposado tequila.

Casa Dragones uses 100% Mizunara casks from Japan's only independent cooperage to age their tequila. Japanese Oak is scarcer than European and American Oak and takes longer to grow, resulting in higher quality casks.

Casa Dragones Reposado review

Literally translated to “water oak,” mizunara is softer and more porous than most oaks, allowing the tequila to pull more from its depths, and creating a marriage of agave and wood notes that are truly unique to Casa Dragones Reposado.

The result is an elegantly sweet, deliciously smooth Reposado, with hints of orange blossom, butterscotch, and coffee bean.
